Yesterday, one new student at GJR Institute (GovernmentJobsRecruitment.in) asked me about the selection process of a Probationary Officer at Federal Bank.
She joined our Thiruvananthapuram branch to prepare for the bank examinations. I believe more students are also curious to know about it. So, I decided to write an article about it.
Federal Bank PO Job Profile
Aneeta Mathew, a student at GJR Institute(GovernmentJobsRecruitment.in) who is preparing for our Bank Exam series, asked, "What are the duties of a Probationary Officer at Federal Bank? What are the promotion chances and monthly salary?"
Let me start with the work culture and job profile of a Federal Bank PO.
Federal Bank is a well-reputed private bank in India, known for its credibility in attracting NRI funds and managing SME funds. It also provides services such as Corporate Internet Banking, Payment Gateway for merchants and e-commerce websites, and Point of Sale (POS) Terminals in India. The bank offers Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Travel Cards to its customers.
A PO is the entry-level management post that supervises clerical staff and interacts with customers. It provides a good working atmosphere for graduates appointed as POs.
Federal Bank PO Monthly Salary
The second part of Aneeta's question was about the monthly salary of a Federal Bank Probationary Officer.
The salary scale, including benefits, for the Federal Bank PO Scale 1 ranges from ₹9.95 Lakhs to ₹13.70 Lakhs per annum.
The Minimum Eligibility to Apply for Federal Bank PO
Abdul Reneesh, a B.Com student from Kozhikode, asked, "Hello Sir, what is the minimum educational qualification required to become a Federal Bank PO?"
Let me answer his question here.
Those holding a degree or a postgraduate qualification and having a minimum of one year of experience in a cooperative bank or a scheduled commercial bank, in either officer or clerk cadre, can apply for the PO position in Federal Bank.
The minimum percentage of marks required to join as a Probationary Officer in Federal Bank is 60% in a degree or 55% in a postgraduate qualification.
Anju Mohan, a reader of GovernmentJobsRecruitment.in, asked in the comment section about the age limit of the Federal Bank PO.
The upper age limit for applying for this post is 27.
How Do I Apply For the Federal Bank PO Examination?
Hari Krishnan V, a BBA graduate from Pala, asked, "Hello Sir, I want to know where I can apply for these vacancies?"

I suggest everyone visit the official Federal Bank website by clicking the link below and apply.
The exam fee for the Federal Bank PO test is ₹700 for General and OBC categories, and ₹350 for SC/ST categories. Candidates must apply online for the PO exam and are required to pay the exam fee through online mode.
I believe I have addressed most of the key points in this article. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask in the comments section.
