Minimum Eligibility To Apply for the Assistant Professor Vacancies
Let us check the minimum qualifications required to apply for an Assistant Professor and Lecturer post in Kerala Government College Service.- The age limit to apply for Assistant Professor and Lecturer vacancies in Government College is 22 - 40.
The upper age limit for the general category candidate is 40 years.
OBC and SC/ST candidates can avail of upper age relaxation. - The basic educational qualification required for an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Kerala Government College is a Master's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent and good academic record.
- Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the concerned subject specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.
- Candidates who have obtained Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from passing the NET examination.
