Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced the latest Primary School Teacher Recruitment to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi-run schools. Age limit to apply for MCD Teacher (Primary) is 30 years for general category candidates. DSSSB accepts only the online mode of applications from eligible candidates for MCD Teacher (Primary) recruitment test. Essential Educational Qualification Required

If you are looking for a permanent appointment as a primary school teacher in any one of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi-run schools, you should have the following essential educational qualifications.
  1. Senior Secondary (10+2) or Intermediate or its equivalent from a recognized board /institution.
  2. Two year’s Diploma / Certificate Course / in Elementary Teacher Education Course/Junior Basic Training or equivalent or bachelor of elementary education from a recognized institution.
  3. Must have passed Hindi as a subject at Secondary level.
  4. Must have passed English as a subject at secondary or senior secondary level.
  5. Candidates must have qualified CTET.

DSSSB Primary School Teacher Exam Pattern

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board conducts One Tier examination for the appointment of Primary School Teachers in Schools under Delhi Municipal Corporation.

It includes two sections; A and B with 100 marks in each section. Total 200 Multiple Choice Questions are there. Each question carries one marks, but you will lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answers. You will get a total of 2 hours to complete the examination.

A candidate must have to qualify in Section A & B separately as per their category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/PH/ExSM) minimum qualifying marks. It is important to go through study materials based on DSSSB Primary School Teacher Exam Syllabus to pass each section.

We must say while considering the structure of the exam application fee, Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board is not following the principles of gender equality.

If you belong to general category male candidates, you need to pay 100 Indian Rupee as application fee.


For those belong to Women candidates and candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Physically Handicapped & Ex-serviceman category are exempted from paying the Application fee.
