Seaman Applicant Eligibility
To appear for the Seaman Test conducted by Kerala PSC to fill vacancies reported in Hydrographic Survey Wing (Port Department), applicants must have the following qualifications.
- Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST & Other Backward Communities)
- Must have studied up to Standard VIII.
- Must have proficiency in Boat pulling knots, splices and rigging, handling single-cylinder motorboat, anchor work, and swimming. The proficiency in the above items of work will be assessed in a practical test conducted by the PSC at the time of selection.
