Kerala PSC has issued two different notifications for Assistant Prison Officer recruitment. Category number 456/2016 is for male candidates and category number 457/2016 is for female candidates. The salary scale of both male and female Assistant Prison Officers in Kerala is 20000 - 45800 Indian Rupees per month. It is unit-wise recruitment and the expected vacancies of Assistant Prison Officers in each unit ( Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Kannur) are listed below. Both men and women candidates must have SSLC or equivalent to apply for Assistant Prison Officer. In addition to a written test, they have to pass a physical efficiency test conducted by Public Service Commission.
